CHRIS CONDON
Chris Condon is the writer of the ongoing Image Comics series That Texas Blood, as well as its acclaimed Wild West spinoff, The Enfield Gang Massacre. He is currently writing Green Arrow for DC Comics and Ultimate Wolverine for Marvel. He has also written stories for Creepshow, Oni Press's EC Comics revival, Marvel's Crypt of Shadows, Tynion & Oeming's Blue Book:1947, DC's Harley Quinn: Black, White & Redder, 2000 AD, and more.
Condon was born and raised in suburban central New Jersey, and still calls it home. He has a rescue pitbull named Obi who actually does most of the writing.
What was the first comic you bought?
One comic that I have a clear and distinct memory of purchasing was a copy of Batman: Gotham Knights 23 which had a great Brian Bolland cover. I actually just bought another copy of it recently because my original is so tattered from my reckless youth.
Favourite types of story to write?
I'm writing for him - it would be Wolverine.
Biggest creative influences?
Darwyn Cooke, Frank Miller, Jack Kirby, Mike Mignola, Stephen King, Michael Chabon, Alfred Hitchcock, and Joel & Ethan Coen.
Favourite convention snack?
I think I need to find one - I tend to starve when I'm at a convention until I go all out for a big feast at dinner.
