DAVID MESSINA
David is an artist from Rome, Italy. After he graduated in artistic study he worked in animation and graphic advertising as visualizer. He has been working in comics since 2005.
He has worked for the major publishers such as IDW Publishing (Angel, Star Trek, ROM and True Blood), Marvel (Ultimate Spiderman, Wolverine and the X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, Ironheart 2020 and Star Wars), Image (The Bounce and 3 Keys) and DCcomics (Catwoman, Action Comics, Midnighter, Wonder Woman and Red Hood The Outlaw).
What was the first comic you bought?
Amazing Spider-Man #121–122
bought by a kid not much older than me from a makeshift street stall in my neighborhood, and has been read ad nauseam ever since (and still geolsically preserved and cherished)
Favourite character to draw?
Darkseid and Noah (the main character of my Image's series 3Keys)
Biggest artistic influences?
Adam Hughes first and foremost, Mike Mignola, Katshuiro Otomo, J.C. Leyendecker and Gil Elvgreen!
Favourite convention snack?
I'd say chocolate, especially dark chocolate
(I would love to say Lasagna but scared someone may bring it)
