MARCO SANTUCCI

Marco Santucci is an Italian Comic Artist and Illustrator.

He has worked for various publishers: Sergio Bonelli Editore (Mister No, Tex, Dampyr), Marvel (Secret Invasion: Spider-man, X-factor, Siege: Spider-man), Titan Comics (Assassin’s Creed, Tekken), Dynamite (Sheena, Red Sonja, Pathfinder: Spiral of Bones), Upper Deck, Ghost Machine and Zenescope.

In the recent years he's working for DC Comics on various titles including Superman, Injustice: Gods among us,  Injustice 2, Justice League, Wonder Woman, Green Lanterns, Swamp Thing, Green Lantern, Teen Titans, Batman Beyond, Justice Society, Batman: the Brave and the Bold and Batman & Robin.

What was the first comic you bought?

Probably a Spider-man comic in the 80s. It was very dramatic story with Black Cat seriously injured and Spidey running against time to save her life.

Favourite characters to draw?

Spider-man and Batman. In general I like to bend my style to best show any character.

Biggest artistic influences?

There are so many! It started with Todd McFarlane but grew to more classic and realistic artists: Neal Adams, John Buscema, Alan Davis, Claudio Castellini, Jose Luis Garcia Lopez, Kevin Nowlan, Adam Hughes, Bryan Hitch. In general I like whatever artist is solid and can teach me something new.

Favourite convention snack?

Whatever helps me to keep working, so something like hazelnut chocolate!
