Tate Brombal is an Eisner- and GLAAD-award nominated comic book writer based in Toronto, Canada.

He is best known for writing the best-selling comic book House of Slaughter, as well as The Oddly Pedestrian Life of Christopher Chaos and Behold, Behemoth. He has also written extensively within Jeff Lemire's Black Hammer Universe, most notably his debut miniseries Barbalien: Red Planet which was nominated for an Eisner and GLAAD award. His upcoming DC Comics debut will be revitalizing DC Elseworlds with the horror-fantasy series Green Lantern Dark alongside artist Werther Dell'Edera.

When Tate is not writing comics he is reading them or cooking up new recipes for his friends to enjoy.
